RTS Squad Leader Code of Conduct
The goal of The Salvation Army is to provide parents with the safest place to send their children. Because parents perceive The Salvation Army as an organization that helps and cares for people, we need to live up to that perception when it comes to church and camp programs for their children. (Nancy Turley, territorial abuse advisor).

We believe the virtual world is no different. In an attempt to keep our kids safe online we ask that you agree to the following code of conduct. If you do become concerned about the well-being of any of the young people using your on-line webpage please report it directly to your local supervisor.

1. I will not harm minors in any way.
2. I will not use this site to impersonate others.
3. I will respect the privacy of my squad members except in the case where I fear for their well-being.
4. I will respect others on this site regardless of who they are.
5. I will not use this site to transmit junk mail, spam or chain letters or other forms of solicitation.
6. I will not collect or store personal information about others.
7. I will use only positive and encouraging language.
8. I will report misuse of this site to the webmaster as soon as it is discovered.
9. I understand that what I post on this site will be monitored.
10. I understand that misuse of this site will result in the termination of my account.

RTS Local Squad Webpage
If you are the individual registering as your Corps/Church Ready to Serve leader, and are not the corps officer we encourage you to invite the corps officer to be a member of your local squad group by registering at RTSrecruits.ca. It is wise to have a second adult monitoring what is happening on your local squad page. A two adult policy will provide protection for yourself and the young people who are part of your local webpage. Please provide the Name, Position and Email address of a second adult who will help monitor your local page.
